Frank A. Borgia, M.D., a member of Armstrong Surgical Associates, is board certified in General Surgery. Prior to joining Armstrong Surgical Associates, he was in private practice with Highlands Surgical Associates in Natrona Heights, for Thirty years. A graduate of Washington & Jefferson College. He then attended Medical School at Jefferson Medical in Philadelphia. Dr. Borgia completed his internship and residency at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital. Dr. Borgia provides the most up-to-date treatment in minimally invasive and laparoscopic procedures in general surgery. Dr. Borgia is a member of the American Board of Surgery, Pittsburgh Surgical Society, Allegheny County Medical Society and Pennsylvania Medical Society.
Sarun Suwan, M.D., F.A.C.S., one of the founding members of Armstrong Surgical Associates, is Board Certified in General Surgery by the American Board of Surgery. Prior to forming Armstrong Surgical Associates, he started his career with Highlands Surgical Associates based in Natrona Heights. Dr. Suwan grew up in the Freeport area and is a graduate of Freeport Area High School. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Pittsburgh with a B.S. in Behavioral Neuroscience and Biology. He then attended Medical School at Temple University in Philadelphia. Dr. Suwan remained in the Philadelphia area and performed his General Surgery Internship and Residency at Abington Memorial Hospital.
Dr. Suwan’s practice is focused on General and Laparoscopic Surgery. He also performs Endoscopic procedures including Endoscopy and Colonoscopy. He maintains an interest in the most up-to-date treatments for Hernia Repair. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the Pennsylvania Medical Society. Dr. Suwan is available for consultation by appointment.
Denny Tang, M.D., F.A.C.S., a member of Armstrong Surgical Associates, is board certified in general surgery and colon & rectal surgery. Prior to joining Armstrong Surgical Associates, he was in private practice with Highlands Surgical Associates in Natrona Heights for four years. A graduate of Temple University School of Medicine. Dr. Tang completed his internship and residency at Abington Memorial Hospital. He also completed a residency program (fellowship) specializing in Colon & Rectal Surgery at Grant Medical Center. Dr. Tang provides the most up-to-date treatment in minimally invasive and laparoscopic procedures in colon & rectal surgery and general surgery. Dr. Tang is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the American Society of Colon & Rectal Surgeons, Society of American Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Surgeons, and Pittsburgh Surgical Society.
Nancy Allen, RN, BSN, a member of Armstrong Surgical Associates, is a registered nurse. Prior to joining Armstrong Surgical Associates she was in private practice with Highland Surgical Associates in Natrona Heights, as a clinical nurse specialist for over twenty years. Nancy performs her duties with the utmost professionalism care and compassion. Our patients, other physicians, and staff frequently praise her for her organizational and clinical skills.
Heather Miklos, MPAS, PA-C, a member of Armstrong Surgical Associates, is a Certified Physician Assistant. Heather has extensive experience in the medical field in a variety of specialties, including general and vascular surgery. Heather obtained her Masters of Physician Assistant Science at Gannon University. Heather is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and Pennsylvania Society of Physician Assistants.
