Patients on the behavioral health unit are expected to attend scheduled activities and group therapy sessions along with participating in daily therapeutic conversations with assigned staff. The goal is always for the behavioral health patient to return to his or her optimal level of functioning. A staff psychiatrist directs care through an experienced multidisciplinary team of treatment specialists. Consultants are invited to participate in care as appropriate to the individual patient.

ACMH Behavioral Health Adolescent Track
The Behavioral Health Adolescent track offered at ACMH Hospital was developed to assess, evaluate and treat individuals from 14-18 who are in crisis and need a safe environment and emotional support. The behavioral health multidisciplinary team creates an appropriate treatment and follow-up plan tailored specifically to each adolescent. As with adult behavioral health patients, the ultimate goal is for the adolescent patient to return to his or her highest level of functioning.
