The Automated Breast Volume Scanner (ABVS) allows a more detailed and clearer image as a follow-up to a conventional mammogram. One of only ten in operation within the United States, the ABVS system is yet another way that ACMH is staying ahead of the technology curve.
Breast density can be a critical factor in breast cancer detection. Dense breast tissue appears white on a mammogram – as does cancerous tissue – thus tumors are often hidden behind the dense tissue.
