Kelly Zbanic, DO was born and raised in New Castle, PA. After receiving her bachelor’s degree in Biology from Gannon University, she continued her education at the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine. After graduation, Dr. Zbanic relocated to Largo, Florida for an internship and general surgery residency. Upon completion of residency, Dr. Zbanic went active duty in the US Army and was stationed in South Carolina – deployed as a combat trauma surgeon to Afghanistan and Kuwait.

Shortly after her last deployment, Dr. Zbanic got married. While honeymooning in the Colorado mountains, she decided that she would one day move back north to enjoy winter weather again.

“Not too long after returning home from our honeymoon, we found out I was pregnant with twins,” Dr. Zbanic explained. “We then knew it was time to return to Western Pennsylvania, were we could raise our children with snow and family nearby.”
