Sarun Suwan, MD, one of the founding members of Armstrong Surgical Associates, is Board Certified in General Surgery by the American Board of Surgery. Prior to forming Armstrong Surgical Associates, he started his career with Highlands Surgical Associates based in Natrona Heights.
Dr. Suwan grew up in the Freeport area and is a graduate of Freeport Area High School. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Pittsburgh with a B.S. in Behavioral Neuroscience and Biology. He then attended Medical School at Temple University in Philadelphia. Dr. Suwan remained in the Philadelphia area and performed his General Surgery Internship and Residency at Abington Memorial Hospital.
Dr. Suwan’s practice is focused on General and Laparoscopic Surgery, as well as Robotic Surgery. He also performs Endoscopic procedures including Endoscopy and Colonoscopy. He maintains an interest in the most up-to-date treatments for Hernia Repair. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the Pennsylvania Medical Society. Dr. Suwan is available for consultation by appointment.
